Cities for Children

Genereation Dialogue - meeting of a Working Group in Graz

In March 15th-16th Kinderbuero had a pleasure to host the seminar dedicated to "Generation Dialogue - Cities for Children" project. The meeting took place in the city hall of Graz where representatives from 4 countries:

Austria

Germany

Latvia

Malta

were discussing about generations and ways of communication between them.

The guests were warmly welcomed by Detlev Eisel - Eiselsberg from city of Graz and by Bernhard Seidler and Sandra Hasenburger - the organizers.

After the opening speech participants took part in a discussion with Dr. Eveline HÃ¶nigsperger during which everyone had a chance to listen about war of generation as a threat.
As a part of agenda it was planned to visit two projects in Graz: points4action and Wiki Kindergarden.
"Points4action" is a project for young people between the age of 14-18 who visit old people in Graz and spend couple of time with them, doing some activities such as: going for walks, playing cards, playing on the instruments etc.
Another visit was at "Wiki Kindergarden" were participants could have a look on the connection between children and elderly living in nursery home located in the same building.

The meeting ended up with a brainstorming and new ideas about different projects concerning generation dialogue. Everything will be summed up with other working groups on the meeting in Stuttgart.
